Ingredients kids love so much they will eat seconds! If you double this recipe you can use a larger pan or two 9-inch pans. Serve this with a green salad with diced tomatoes on top.
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 medium yellow onion, diced
1/3 c. ketchup
2 Tbsp. mustard
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
8 slices bacon, cooked, crumbled
4 c. tater tots
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Prepare a 9-inch-square baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
2. Brown ground beef and onions in a large skillet, drain if necessary. Stir in ketchup and mustard. Pour into prepared pan and even out.
3. Sprinkle cheese and bacon evenly on top. Evenly distribute tater tots across the top. Bake 30 minutes or until tots are golden brown.
Apron Strings Tips: If you love dill pickles, chop a few up and add them in with the ketchup and mustard in step 2. Spice it up with jalapenos or a couple tablespoons of green chilies.
