Strawberry Short Cake on a Stick
So simple and so popular! Kids especially love this traditional summer treat.
1 angel food cake loaf
1 pint strawberries
1 can spray whipped topping
1 container chocolate sauce
1. Cut angel food cake loaf into bite-sized cubes.
2. Cut strawberries into thick slices.
3. Alternately thread strawberries and cake onto a skewer.
4. Before serving, dot with dollops of spray whipped topping and drizzle with chocolate sauce.
Apron Strings Notes: You can easily use toothpicks for skewers to make bite-sized appetizers. When serving to small children, I use my kitchen shears to snip off the sharp point after threading food on them.
