Sausage and Apples


1 (20-oz.) can apple pie filling

1/2 c. tap water

1/2 tsp. nutmeg

1 (10-oz.) pkg. fully cooked sausage patties


1. Brown sausage patties in a cast iron skillet.

2. Spoon pie filling into crock of slow cooker. Stir in water. Sprinkle top with nutmeg.

3. Layer sausage over the top. Cover and cook on low 4 hours.


Can skip the browning stage for the sausage to short cut this recipe.
